ADD  TRUSTED  SITE
help

  • Goal
  • Edit the Internet Options
  • Edit the Trusted Sites List
  • Add the NEUMES Website
  • Default Level of Security

  • I. Goal
The goal is to make the NEUMES website a 'trusted site' in your Web browser. This is so that JavaScript and other needed functionality will be available. When this is done, every time you access the NEUMES website, you will see the 'Trusted sites' icon in your browser's status line (see, magenta outline in the image above).

    II. Edit the Internet Options
    In Internet Explorer® :
    1. Click 'Tools' in the command bar.
    2. Then click 'Internet Options' in the pull-down menu.
(See magenta highlighting in the image at left.)

III. Edit the Trusted Sites List
    On the 'Internet Options' window:
    1. Click on the 'Security' tab at the top of the window.
    2. On the Security panel, click 'Trusted sites' to highlight this item.
    3. Then click the 'Sites' button.
(See magenta highlighting in the image at left.)

    IV. Add the NEUMES Website
    On the 'Trusted sites' window:
    1. First, be sure the checkbox next to "Require server verification" (near the bottom of the window) is not checked. (Click the box to turn it off  if it currently has a check mark).
    2. Position your cursor into the top text box, under where it says "Add this Web site to the zone". (Position your cursor by clicking in the box.)
      Then type into the box:
      http://www.scribeserver.com
    3. Click on the 'Add' button. This will cause the Scribeserver URL to be added to your 'Web sites' list.
    4. Finally, click the 'OK' button of this window.
(See magenta highlighting in the image at left.)

    V. Default Level of Security
To use the 'Default Level' of security (recommended) for 'Trusted sites', again on the 'Internet Options' window:
    1. With the 'Trusted sites' icon still highlighted, click the 'Default Level' button.
    2. Finally, click the 'OK' button of this window.
(See magenta highlighting in the image at left.)

Alternatively, you can define a 'Custom Level' of security for all Trusted websites.

    Finished.
